Mommy Bobby

Once again the past has come back to me! Bobby-Jo and I went to school together, from early grade school all the way through Sir John A. MacDonald.

We got together on a lucky warm winter day for a maternity session, in downtown Halifax, where both of us have worked for many years. She even brought along a new back of bubble gum! For anyone who knows Bobby-Jo she is a big fan of bubble gum! I had a lot of fun catching up on this shoot!

Congrats Bobby on your little boy Finlay!

Niki Fitness

Niki was one of those girls I met many years, back, and always had the dream to get a chance to shoot with. I finally got my chance this past March, just before she competed for the first time in the NSABBA Fitness Competition. I truly admire this lady’s dedication to training, and diet (so many beerless months..) to getting into the most amazing shape I have ever seen! She even showed me a pair of jeans that she used to wear!

I very much look forward to shooting with Niki again when her and her now fiance return from an epic month long adventure in Europe! Congrats girl!

Elizabeth is always a real joy to photograph! She was one of the first ladies to be on board for my day of shooting at the Waverly Inn in Halifax. I always find far too many images of her that I like from our shoots, makes narrowing down the winners hard!

Conrad / Dorey Wedding

Caitlyn’s wedding day! Finally up on the website!!

This lovely lady was a real jewel to watch on her wedding day! It’s not often you see the bride walking around with every detail exactly in mind and on time, with all the Pintrest photos ready to go, all while maintaining a big smile and relaxed atmosphere. She had every detail laid out and ready to go, which for a photographer is a real dream! I had so many beautiful little details to capture while the large party of 6 snacked, ate breakfast and were pampered.

Because I loved it so much, we headed back down to Patricks family wharf (seen here!) for some wedding day images. The sun once again failing so gracefully with my plans. I couldn’t ask for a better backdrop for these guys!

We took a few moments out of the wedding reception to take over a little bar in the hotel for a few more group shots, too bad everyone had a bit too much fun before we got there!

Big congrats Caitlyn and Pat! Thanks so much for having us as part of your super fun wedding!

Ocean Boudoir

Spending the whole day working as a photographer on a wedding, you get the opportunity to meet so many people. This goes a step further when on a destination wedding!

I got a chance to meet and spend a week in beautiful Jamaica with the lovely Ocean (yes that is her real name!) sunning ourselves on the beach and poolside, and spending almost every evening at the infinity bar. This lovely lady is a mother of two and sweet as pie. I was happy that we have been keeping in touch since we have been back, and I was so thrilled when she asked me about getting together for a boudoir session.

This was her first time in front of the camera and I hope it wont be the last. She is just so stunning and a real pleasure to work with.

Tiffany and Alex

Tiffany and I have been best friends since we met in high school, also, her and Alex met about the same time that Ryan and I got together. So it was about time that these two got together and had some photos done!We got together on a warm December day and took a drive around the Samboro loop, and then after a quick lunch break at the Paperchase we hit up the ruins at Point Pleasant Park. Needless to say the photos were a hit with their families over Christmas.

Daegle / Simpson Wedding

You can never ask for a better day in summer, than one with a clear sky, a cool breeze, and a wedding!

The day went by so smoothly, everyone enjoying the warm day getting ready on the patio in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. It was hard not to soak up the happy energy with such beautiful weather. It was beautiful also, that they had decided to get married, by the same priest who had married LeeAnne’s parents. There was a few tears shed, all the while, Ryan and I were in the pews trying to figure out, if yes, the grooms twin brother, does in fact live in our house! The world gets smaller everyday!

We got to take advantage of the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal which gave some beautiful architecture to some of our wedding shots. As well as the lovely view we had of their once home, Halifax. Where Marc and LeeAnne now live on the other side of the country, we wanted to try and incorporate as much of the traditionally ”Halifax” scenery as possible.

Congrats again Marc and LeeAnne! Thank you for having us as part of your special day!

Whiting and Horne Family

It’s always nice to get to work with families over and over again. Victoria and I have gotten the chance to work together a few times this past year, but it was so good to finally have her and her own family in front of my camera again. Violet is growing like a weed!

We headed down to this beautiful little fishing village near Prospect, Nova Scotia. Sadly we picked the coldest day yet in 2012, and had to cut our time outside short. I would love to head back down there on a warmer day as it had so much potential! I was also lucky enough to even capture a few of the first snowflakes of the year!
