MacMillan/Corkum Wedding

October has to be one of my favorite months. Not only are you seeing all the fall colours take place, but there is a huge turkey dinner and Halloween!

I was fortunate enough to spend Thanksgiving weekend in lovely Cape Breton, celebrating the wedding of Kelly and Brendan.I had never been to Iona before, but learned very quickly that it was a small, but beautiful little town. It couldn’t have been a better day weather wise with a bright sun in the sky, and the overall laid back atmosphere made the whole event so enjoyable.

The hail bails was something that Kelly and I had talked about from the beginning, and we couldn’t have found a better field for some of my favorite shots to date.

Baby Leah

Christie and Tim welcomed a lovely little girl named Leah to the world in August. A couple months later they brought her over for a mini photo session! Such a goofy little girl with big eyes full of curiosity.

Carrie and Lindsay

Now you don’t think I could resist putting TWO beautiful models into the same shots together did you? Most of this whole day was their planning, especially when it came down to who got to rub the lotion on who! They even agreed to crawl around in the cold water too!

It’s not hard to see that these two ladies have a good reason to tattoo each others names on themselves. They are such great friends and it truly shows in these playful images. I was happy to have be able to join in on the fun with my camera :)

Hillier/Boutilier Wedding

The day could not fall more into place for Crystal and Jeff’s wedding. There was a nice warm sun in the sky, the hall looked wonderful, and everyone looked simply amazing with thanks to Laura Bleasdale for the make-up skills.

It was a lovely ceremony right on the water of a boat club with all the windows open with a fresh cool wind. The whole atmosphere of this wedding was calm and pleasant. Especially when asking all the parties in their suits and dresses to walk around on floating docks!

Being able to bring personal touches to an already quaint wedding is always enjoyable to me. The little summer home just up the road was such an eye pleaser to me, who is a sucker for textured walls.

Congrats Crystal and Jeff! Your wedding was beautiful and I was glad to be able to be apart of it!

Beach Babe Carrie

I don’t know if I could get tired of photographing Carrie. She is a stunningly pretty lady with a charm that could melt your heart, not to mention a wicked mommy!

I knew from the start, that we would walk away with some of my favotrie images of the year that day, and we didn’t disappoint. I really felt like the lighting and everything fell right into place.

Lindsay’s First Time

It’s hard to believe that this lovely lady has never seen a camera before! She has such amazingly sharp features that the lighting just eats her up and makes images truly beautiful!

My friend Carrie, Lindsay and I took a little trip this summer to Crystal Crescent for a fun photo shoot on the beach. With some retro swim suits from Pretty Things, and some amazing hair talent by both ladies who happen to be hair stylists, we pulled out with some incredible images of both ladies and some of them together.

Ella and Lily’s First Halloween

I don’t think i could ever get enough of spending time with these two little angels! Momma Mena is a big ham when it comes to her baby girls, so she called me up and was so excited to play around with the costumes she picked up for Ella and Lily. We drove around a few different pumpkin patches to get the perfect collection for our little shoot.

This one here was ALL Mena’s idea! She was laughing so hard the whole time thinking that her neighbors were going to think she was nuts trying to make her babies cry on the side of the road in a box that said “Free Kiddies” on it. You think we could GET the babies to cry? Of course not.. so a little fussing would have to do!

Raven Maven Swan

When halloween begins to roll around, all of the fun costumes and equally fun concepts begin to arise! My friend Raven here wanted to play around with the Black Swan theme, that also had her own twist.

We were lucky to also be able to use the amazing creepy basement of Pretty Things Boutique that really added to the look we were going for.

Also thanks to Zonia for coming in and doing the fantastic make-up!

Pickett/Comeau Wedding

Here we have the wedding of Amanda and Wayne! They were an absolute joy to be around for their special day. So much laughter and happiness with everyone involved it was just a real pleasure to be apart of it, and be able to capture it for future people to enjoy as well!

As I had said before, Amanda and I go way back to junior high school days, and seeing her, all dressed up and as beautiful as she looked that day, almost brought me to tears. She looked so radiant that you couldn’t help but be in awe when she was around. Wayne, you looked pretty spiffy too!

I could rant on but here is one of the many amazing shots we managed to create that day, just click the link below to see them all!

I guess I made myself a new friend during the ceremony!

Oh yes, she did. She planked in her wedding dress.

Probably my favorite picture. Why? The helpless and terrified look on his face! Just before he was surprised to a performance by Amanda and her baton troop!

And then the boys got jiggy too!

Congrats guys! You had an amazing wedding! Everything was so wonderful to experience! All the best to you both! Call me when there is babies.. LOL ;)

Amber Stevens

On the theme of pretty ladies in rushing water.. here are some shots from my first shoot with the lovely Amber Stevens! Wet ladies covered in tattoos are some of my favorite things!

This was taken the day after the water session with the lovely Karen. On a lower part of the stream there was a nice “little” fall that Amber was willing to crawl around in for a little while! Thankfully it was a tad bit warmer the second day. But  enough type.. here they are!
